And please let me know of games that do this if anyone has any ideas.Īnyways, the other gamemode is a bit strange but pretty straight forward. I absolutely love this feature and wish more games would use this type of mechanic. At the time it might not have been so fun but looking back it was so fun dying and debating whether or not it was my fault or my friends fault. But the other weird coop feature is the shared health bar system. Obviously this is because of hardware, I mean come on, I'm playing through this on the Playstation 1. You (blue guy, X1-Aplha, main protagonist) and your friend (black guy) cannot venture too far away from each other. Let me explain for those who don't know.Ĭampaign coop is set up a little strangley but it's probably because of hardware limitations. The best part about all of this though is that all these gamemodes can be played with (or without) another person splitscreen! I really miss this type of feature where devs craft a single-player campaign in such a way where it can be played with another person. It has a very fun and definitely a bit bombastic campaign and a weird competetive gamemode against an aggressive AI. There isn't very much about this that I dislike. Anyone else remember this game? I love it and it still stands as one of my most favorite video games of all time.
